I’m an avid Seiko watch lover and blogger, writing about past and present Seiko watches that attract my attention.
My approach is to highlight existing or discontinued watches/movements to raise awareness about the availability and diversity of (mainly) Seiko offerings.
I am also fortunate enough to know some Seiko collectors who are willing to share their rare Seikos with me to take photographs and write ups! So if you have any Seikos that you would like me to photograph and do a write up on, do feel free to contact me at musingsofawatchaddict@gmail.com !
Starting end 2016, I’m very proud to be a contributor to the well-known w&w (http://wornandwound.com/) watch site that focuses on value driven watches at all price points.
I DO NOT earn any ad revenues from my blog and this is purely a passion for me, sharing information about Seiko with the rest of the watch community.
If you are interested in purchasing any of my watches, do drop me an email.
It has also come to my attention that watch sales ads link to my blog for pictures / reviews. You are welcome to do so but please make known that I, as the blog author, is not the seller and give credit where due.
Thank you and I hope you enjoy your stay here!
I love your website — lots of great info and photos about my favorite Seiko watches. I am lucky enough to have examples of all of the 4s series watches you mentioned, and they are the heart of my watch collection.
By the way, I did find my copy of the 4s71,4s76,4s77,4s79 specs and you are exactly right +15/-10. In practice, my 4s79 (and both 4s29) are much more accurate than the specs, and were closer to +5/-5 last time I checked.
Hey John,
Nice to see you here! Let’s collaborate some time to share all your 4S watches with the readers!
Hi, would you be interested in writing for a watch magazine? Do email me at adi@revolutionmagazines.com
Hello!
I’m a fellow Singaporean and I came across your site while trying to find an legit Seiko online shop in Thailand.. I’m looking to get the SPB031 from BKK..
Any chance you can help me?
You can try Lazada Thailand. Not certain if they’ll ship overseas though. Otherwise I’m not aware of any online shop selling Seikos.
BTW drop me an email if you need my help to bring it back to Singapore. I return once a week or so.
Hey, nice blog. I’m just wondering if you know where I can find a good seko 5 collection in Bangkok. I’ve been wanting to get myself an SNK for a while now.
Thanks
Hi Indra,
I’ve no idea where you’re from but the prices here won’t be much different, from say Singapore. However you can find a decent Seiko collection (including the Thailand only editions) at Paragon, CentralWorld or Central Chidlom. MBK has some past limited editions, but they are generally overpriced. You can also check out the Seiko Thailand showroom itself, which occasionally has some decent discounts.
Have fun hunting.
